On November 2, 2008, we celebrated Srila Acharyadeva's Vyasa Puja at the home of our godsister, Glani Nasana dd, in Gainesville, FL (USA). Over 150 devotees came to offer their gratitude and respect to Srila Acharyadeva for the impact he has had on their lives. Disciples from as far as Chicago, North Carolina, Mississippi, Atlanta, Miami, and Orlando traveled long distances just to be with Acharyadeva on this day. The day's activities began at 9am with Guru Puja, immediately followed with spoken offerings until noon, at which time the feast was served to the delight of both Srila Acharyadeva and all of the devotees. Afterwards, Acharyadeva spoke for some time surrounded by an intimate crowd. The festivities continued at a nearby park, where Srila Acharyadeva, disciples, and friends spent the rest of the afternoon playing volleyball and frisbee. The day was concluded with a long japa walk late into the evening. Thank you to everyone who made Srila Acharyadeva's 60th birthday party a success!
